Bill's Mobile Small Engine Repair, LLC provides mobile repair and maintenance services for small engines and outdoor power equipment, including but not limited to:

  • Lawn mowers (push, self-propelled, and riding)
  • Snowblowers and snow removal equipment
  • Chainsaws
  • Generators
  • Pressure washers
  • Leaf blowers and vacuums
  • Tillers and cultivators
  • Other small gasoline-powered equipment

We provide mobile service, meaning we travel to your location within our service area (Dubuque, Iowa and surrounding areas) to perform repairs and maintenance.

2. Service Appointments and Scheduling

2.1 Appointment Requests

You may request service appointments through our website contact form, by phone at (563) 231-6645, or by email at wdless@gmail.com. All appointment requests are subject to availability and confirmation.

2.2 Service Estimates

We provide estimates based on the information you provide about your equipment and the issue. Actual costs may vary upon inspection of the equipment. We will notify you of any significant changes to the estimate before proceeding with work.

2.3 Cancellation Policy

We request at least 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in a service fee for future appointments.

2.4 Service Location Requirements

You agree to provide:

  • A safe, accessible location for performing repairs
  • Adequate workspace around the equipment
  • Access to the equipment at the scheduled time
  • Notification of any hazards at the service location

3. Pricing and Payment

3.1 Service Rates

Our service rates include labor, travel within our normal service area, and diagnostic fees. Parts and materials are billed separately at competitive market rates.

3.2 Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We accept cash, check, and may accept other forms of payment as arranged.

3.3 Parts and Materials

Parts used in repairs may be new OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), new aftermarket, or quality used parts depending on availability, customer preference, and cost considerations. We will discuss parts options with you before installation.

Note: Quoted prices are valid for 30 days from the date of the quote. Parts prices may vary due to market conditions and supplier availability.

4. Warranty and Guarantees

4.1 Workmanship Warranty

We stand behind our work. Labor is warranted for 30 days from the date of service. If the same issue recurs within this period due to our workmanship, we will re-repair at no additional labor charge.

4.2 Parts Warranty

New parts are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, which varies by manufacturer and part type. We will assist you with warranty claims on parts we have installed.

4.3 Warranty Limitations

Warranties do not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or abuse of equipment
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from using incorrect fuel or lubricants
  • Issues caused by subsequent repairs performed by others
  • Pre-existing conditions not related to our repair
  • Consequential or incidental damages

4.4 No Guarantee of Repairability

While we make every effort to repair equipment, some equipment may be beyond economical repair due to age, condition, or parts availability. In such cases, we will advise you and may charge only a diagnostic fee.

5. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your equipment and the issues you're experiencing
  • Ensure you own the equipment or have authorization for repairs
  • Drain fuel from equipment if requested for safety reasons
  • Remove personal items from or near the equipment
  • Ensure pets and children are kept away from the work area
  • Be available or provide an authorized representative during service
  • Promptly notify us of any issues following repair

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1 Service Limitations

Our liability for any claim arising from our Services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

6.2 Exclusion of Damages

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of use, revenue, or profits
  • Property damage not directly caused by our negligence
  • Damages arising from your failure to follow our recommendations

6.3 Equipment Age and Condition

Older or poorly maintained equipment may experience additional issues during or after repair. We are not responsible for unrelated failures that may occur due to the age or general condition of the equipment.
